Integrative Therapy

Integrative Therapy

This is essentially what it sounds like – a form of therapy that will take different parts of different models to best suit the client and what they want out of their own therapy. Often more experienced therapists will use this approach out of the understanding that one model will not suit all and as they learn different ways of working will naturally incorporate and integrate them into the way they work. Thus, even though a therapy may for example, predominantly CBT, it may also incorporate some other elements of other therapies such as ACT or mindfulness.
